Metacon’s Board of Directors has decided to offer an extension of the contract that expired at the turn of the year 2020 for CEO Carl Christopher Tornblom. The agreement is extended until further notice, in parallel with the start of work on finding a successor. The company has hired Mercuri Urval to assist with the recruitment process.
“For me, it is a matter of course to continue as CEO of Metacon until the board has found a suitable successor. We see a sharp increase in interest in the company’s products and need a person with broader industrial experience than I myself have to lead Metacon through the accelerated commercialization phase.
During my almost 3 years as CEO, I have had a fantastically interesting journey. In its initial phase, hydrogen was for me and many others just a concept. Today, hydrogen is known to most people and will be an important part of the energy mix to achieve the climate goals set. Although in the future I will not be the train driver of the hydrogen-powered train I described before the issue, I look forward with excitement to continuing the journey we have begun through another operational role within the company “, says Chris Tornblom CEO Metacon.
